Reviews and Ratings
At first, the room wasn't ideal, next to a noisy street without much privacy and with disappointing views of sheds instead of mountains. Eventually, after persistent requests, we were upgraded to a room with stunning views, thanks to the helpful senior front of house lady. The service was a mix; some staff were rude, while others showed true customer service. The location was excellent in Capetown's Camps Bay area, close to restaurants and with a great view. Dining options were limited but offered a combination of a la carte and buffet choices. Facilities were adequate, and overall, the hotel provided value for money.
The hotel is well-located near popular attractions like Table Top Mountain and the Victoria & Albert waterfront. The rooms are a bit outdated and need refurbishment, with some oversight in cleanliness. However, the service is top-notch and very accommodating. The hotel's location is fantastic for exploring the area, although the front desk staff can be intimidating. The dining experience is hit-or-miss, with impressive aspects but room for improvement. Overall, a mixed experience with a great potential for a pleasant stay.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious, offering amazing views of the bay, and the bed with the pillow menu was just perfect for a restful night's sleep. The location couldn't have been better, putting me in a superb locale close to bars, restaurants, and just in front of the beach. However, the dining experience left much to be desired due to some raw food, even though the fresh fish was a saving grace.
The hotel is situated about halfway along the seafront in Camps Bay, offering great views and access to a spa. The rooms are very clean but would benefit from a major upgrade to match the hotel's vibe and location. The service was below expectations with some instances of being ignored. The location is the standout feature, right by the ocean with outstanding views, but there were issues with pricing. The dining experience was subpar, especially in terms of service and pricing. The hotel facilities were not extensively described.
Although the hotel offers clean rooms, it needs a significant upgrade to match its vibe and location. Unfortunately, the rooms do not face the sea directly and lack a view of the ocean as they are situated behind the deck. On the positive side, the hotel enjoys a great location with breathtaking views and access to one of South Africa's most beautiful beaches.
The hotel offers a mix of positives like great access to in-house and external restaurants and efficiently managed room changes, but room proximity to maintenance work was a downside.
